Most of our classes can be booked to help you raise money for your fundraising goals. These events can be booked in our studio, at one of our partner venues (Pubs, Restaurants or Wineries) or we can bring the event to your venue. Our fundraiser events are done by picking a craft and we raise our base price by $5-$20/pp (depending on the craft) to help raise funds for your goal. All the craft registrations and payments would go through our system so all you need to do is advertise. Our schedule books up quickly so we usually need at least 30 to 60 days notice to book an event date. A new fundraiser option that we have is craft kit sales which could work similar to your typical fundraisers. You are provided with order forms with a selection of our craft kits on them and 20% of the sales would go towards your fundraiser. You do not need to collect payments; we would have people pay for their orders on the pick up date. We would set an order pick up date 2 weeks after your fundraiser end date and we could either have all orders picked up from your venue or at our studio; either way we help with this order pick up day to make sure it all runs smoothly 😉 Contact us for more details

About our Instructors 1/1 Jen is the founder and lead instructor of Lost Arts Club, a business she created from a love of crafting, community and bringing people together. Growing up, Jen spent time learning a wide variety of crafts from her grandmother. As she got older, she realized that many of these traditional creative skills were becoming “lost arts”—not because people weren’t interested in learning them, but because they didn’t always have someone to teach them. She saw a need for fun, family-friendly and affordable creative experiences where people of all ages and abilities could learn something new in a relaxed and welcoming environment. From that idea, Lost Arts Club was born. Before turning her passion for crafting into a career, Jen was educated and worked as a social worker supporting adults with diverse abilities. Her career path changed when her own daughter began experiencing challenges related to autism, leading Jen to pursue other careers, focus more of her time on her family and eventually build Lost Arts Club. Throughout the different stages of her life, crafting has remained a constant. Jen has always appreciated the relaxation and stress relief that comes from creating something with your hands, but even more importantly, she loves the experience of sharing creativity with friends, family and community. Her curiosity and love of learning new skills have helped Lost Arts Club grow to offer more than 200 different arts and crafts classes. Jen is continually discovering new projects, learning new techniques and finding approachable ways to teach them to others—especially people who may believe they “aren’t crafty.” Jen also loves travelling and bringing Craft Nights to smaller and remote communities where residents may have fewer opportunities to participate in creative activities. For her, some of the most rewarding events are those that bring people together who might not otherwise have access to classes like these. Community continues to be an important part of Lost Arts Club. Jen participates in local festivals and community events by providing creative activities and supports programs serving youth and adults with diverse abilities. At the heart of Lost Arts Club is a simple idea: creativity should be accessible to everyone. You don’t need experience or artistic talent—you just need the opportunity to try. And sometimes, all it takes is someone willing to show you how. 1/1 McKegney, is an Accounts Receivable Clerk by profession and a creative at heart, she has loved arts and crafts for as long as she can remember. Her creative journey began with drawing at just 10 years old and has grown over the years into a passion for exploring all kinds of creative outlets—from sketching and painting to crochet and everything in between. For her, creating is about much more than making something beautiful. It’s an opportunity to relax, express herself, learn new skills and experience the simple satisfaction of bringing an idea to life. Whether she’s picking up a pencil, paintbrush or crochet hook, she is happiest when she’s creating something with her hands. She especially loves sharing that creativity with others. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping someone discover a new skill, watching their confidence grow and seeing their excitement when they create something they’re proud of. She treasures the opportunity to share her passion, encourage others to explore their own creativity and help make crafting approachable and enjoyable for everyone. She is excited to be part of Lost Arts Club and looks forward to sharing her creativity while teaching and creating alongside others. 1/1 Erin is a local artisan and educator who teaches lost art projects and craft for all ages. She is passionate about sharing creative expression and art skills with a focus on fun skills based projects. Erin has been supporting neurodiverse students in alternative schools and teaching art workshops in a variety of mediums and techniques. You may find her volunteering, hosting workshops and facepainting at local community events, markets and music festivals. Erin’s life long enthusiasm and passion for the arts has lead her to join Lost Art Club teaching craft projects to further spread the joy of expressing creative expression in fun, comfortable and equitable environments.

Information about booking a private group event in our studio, at your venue or one of our community partners. LOST ARTS CLUB 2358 Wild Dove Rd Nanaimo, BC 250-619-4088 lostartsclub@outlook.com Private Group Bookings Private group classes are available for any of our classes or let us know your project idea and we will look into putting together your custom class. We can put together group crafts for events (weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, fundraisers), fun groups (scrapbooking, dreamboard making, etc.), day programs, team building, home schools, in school classrooms or in conjunction with training or education programs. The cost is the same per person as the crafts listed in our class categories . A minimum of 4 people is required; the group maximum depends on the craft. Most of our classes that we host in our studio can comfortably seat a maximum of 8-12 people depending on how much table space is required. If you would like us to host a class outside of our studio then the maximum number of participants will be dependent on the space that you want to host the class in or if you want to use one of our partner community venues. We may need up to 2 weeks notice to be able to gather the necessary supplies. Please note that for smaller classes hosted outside of the Nanaimo area there may be a charge for travel to your location. A $50 deposit is required to book your private event.
